He demonstrates willingness to speak up, even when he knows what he will say will be unpopular.  He seeks to solve problems and find common ground."

About Jensen Jennings

Jensen Jennings is a dedicated advocate and public servant. Born in Los Angeles, California in 1989, Jensen earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minor in Education from the University of California, Davis in 2014.

Following his graduation, Jensen worked on California State Senator Ben Allen's successful campaign, assisting with press releases and other duties. In 2015, he was hired as a legislative aide for State Senator Steve Glazer, where he played a key role in guiding bills through the legislative process. During his time in the California State Senate, Jensen developed a strong passion for addressing issues related to education, homelessness, affordable housing, and access to healthcare.

In 2019, Jensen relocated to Aiken, South Carolina to support his mother during her battle with cancer; she won! He spent a year working for City of Aiken Parks and Recreations in 2022, further deepening his connection to the community. Currently, Jensen works for Walton Options, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve independence. Through his work, Jensen continues to demonstrate his commitment to serving others and creating a more equitable society.

With his extensive experience in politics, community service, and advocacy, Jensen is well-equipped to represent the people of Aiken and champion their needs in the South Carolina State House.

"I've watched and admired Jensen's determination to live a life of service and meaning in spite of a disability.  This is a man who can accept challenges.  He remains a positive, helpful, and understanding person who actually cares about his fellow man.  Because of that compassion, he's looking for ways that our government can be of service to those who have and those who do not have.  He believes we are all in this together as human beings of substance and worth.  I completely endorse him and trust in his ability to rise to any occasion."
